1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how KIMY TECHNOLOGY (F.Z.E), a company registered with Ajman Free Zone, United Arab Emirates, under license no. 36077 ("GulfGrid", "we", "us"), processes your personal data when you use https://gulf-grid.com (the "Platform").

2. Data we collect

Data you provide:

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (stored encrypted).
• Listing data: descriptions, photos, price, location of the items you list.
• Profile data: display name, optional photo, professional status (Boutique Pro).
• Communications: messages exchanged with other users through the Platform, and emails you send us.

Data collected automatically:

• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, timestamps (server logs).
• Cookies: session cookies, language preference, cache and security cookies. See section 8.

Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe; your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and never stored on our servers. We only receive payment confirmations and the last 4 digits of the card.

3. Why we process your data

• Provide the Platform (account, listings, messaging) — performance of the contract (ToU);
• Process payments (packages, Boutique Pro) — performance of the contract;
• Display your listings and contact details to interested buyers — performance of the contract;
• Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, secure the Platform — legitimate interest;
• Send service emails (confirmations, alerts) — performance of the contract;
• Send marketing emails (new listings, offers) — consent, opt-out at any time;
• Comply with UAE legal obligations — legal obligation.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Other users: your display name, profile photo, listings, and — when you choose to publish a listing — your phone/WhatsApp contact details for the purpose of being contacted by buyers.
• Service providers (processors): Stripe (payments), our hosting provider (o2switch, France), our email provider (Hostinger), translation and caching services used to operate the Site.
• Authorities: where required by UAE law or by a binding request from a competent authority.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the UAE (e.g. hosting in France, within the EU). We ensure that such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL).

6. How long we keep your data

• Account data: for the life of your account, then deleted or anonymised within twelve (12) months of account closure.
• Listings: for the duration of publication, then archived up to twelve (12) months.
• Payment records: five (5) years (UAE commercial and tax obligations).
• Server logs: up to twelve (12) months.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPL you may, at any time, request: access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, restriction of or objection to certain processing, and portability of the data you provided.

Write to contact@gulf-grid.ae. We will respond within a reasonable period. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies (session, security, cache — required for the Site to work) and preference cookies (language choice). You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; essential features may stop working.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures: HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, restricted admin access, regular updates and backups. No system is 100% secure; notify us immediately at contact@gulf-grid.ae if you suspect a breach affecting your account.

10. Minors

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; such accounts will be deleted.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The version in force is the one published on the Site. For material changes, we will inform you by reasonable means before they take effect.
